At this year’s Digital Humanities 2020 (virtual) conference, between 20 and 24 of July, the Hellenic OCR Team presented a poster on Xtralingua, our latest digital tool for extracting quantitative text profiles.

The Xtralingua project aims at developing a tool for extracting quantitative text profiles from large collections of texts. Existing solutions and tools are hard to use and require high technical knowledge, often absent in researchers of Digital Humanities. We developed an open-source working prototype that can also be used in combination with other tools to create an automated pipeline of text analysis. The poster for the virtual session at DH2020 has a link/QR code to GitHub, which contains the installer and the code to Xtralingua. A help desk email account is also attached.
